Hood Pins on a Carbon Fiber Hood???

I am putting a black carbon fiber hood on my 07. It comes with a latch, but I have heard that I should put hood pins on it. Is this really necessary?

If so, does anyone in the DFW install the recessed pin setup? Or should I have said, "Does anyone one in the DFW do a good job installing the recessed pin setup?"

recessed pin.. like the kind w/ the lock? or what are you talking about? 'cause i have a set that i'm not gonna be using...btw, i do recomend hood pins for any c/f or fiberglass application, because your hood will flex at anything over like 45mph

I think they make them in the lock and w/o the lock. They do have a closing lid either way. The mount flush so they are not as noticeable.
