How to install a tach??

I need some directions on how to install a tachometer, its an autometer brand silver. Theres 4 wires i just need to know where they go it seems pretty easy i just need to know where they go. thanks oh and its for a 2001 bullitt.

OK guys im gonna do the install myself i know where the red and black wire go, ignition and ground, but i just need a layout of where the other 2 go, that website kinda didnt help much and im in a rush to do this today, where do those 2 other wires go? if someone could just draw out a picture or step by step its just 2 wires and i dont have the adapter or anythign its just the tach, shift light and 4 wires coming out of it. Thanks!!!!

have you tried searching modular depot or other sites.
looks pretty simple.
one hot wire, one ground wire, one wire to the tach output at the EEC and one wire to the coil lead.

yeah it does look simple i just want it drawn out in front of me where those other 2 wires go i know where the red and black go but not those other 2

orange and green right? orange is "ilumination" and green is tach signal

correct no tach adapter just wires. ok so i dont know where the illumination and tach signal go?

no i got it from a friend i just want to wire this up as is. Am i going to have to get in the engine bay? last time i had a tach wired for me all they did was pull the gauge cluster out and wire it back there but it wasnt working right can i do that? or will it read wrong?

The illumination you can pull of from behind the cluster. That way it dims with the inside lights. For the tach output I picked up that in the passenger side kick panel. Don't remember what # wire it was though.

ok according to my wiring site i go through for remote starts and stereos and stuff, for the tach signal, you go off a wire on the coil pack.. doesn't specify wire color but it's NOT red or white w/ a light blue stripe..and the illumination wire can be found behind the radio as a light blue wire with a red stripe

Sorry to bother you guys again but is there anyone out there that can just show me where the wire is in person on my car to connect the tach to. I can meet anyone up anywhere just let me know im kinda in a rush to put this damn thing on but i want to do it my self i just need somewhere to mark out where these damn wires go ill buy ya lunch or something just point em out to me thanks!

i always do my rpm pickup from the computer. I think it is pin #43. Have you searched any other forums, there is tons of info on the internet.
