HRP 4-14 or 4-16

i was thinking about going if anybody is interested. I need to get some practice in for FFW just in case i decide to do true street. There also seems to be more people from the baytown, queer park(j/k), Laporte, pasadena, clear lake, and houston areas and it would be a good time to meet and hangout.
post up if interested.

We may be able to go, depending on whether or not we go back to Midland for Easter. I need to see what my car will do without that pesky launch limiter, and Will has new tires to try out.

that probably won't work out for you since i typically go back into P-town for the whole weekend when i go race. Go home friday, come back sunday night or monday morning. If I was just going for the day then I would definitely be ale to accomodate. If you are truly interested though, i'm sure you can catch a ride with crewchieflite of her bf the day of. They will most likely be driving down in two vehicles. I might also have another person driving from CS to the track as well.
I'll keep you informed.

i would love for it to be on a sat., but i don't think they have the track open for everybody on that day, and from what it looks like, it actually costs $25 to race on friday and saturday due to the modified madness stuff they got going on.

I will be going out there sunday and paying one million dollars for a few gallons of 110 fuel .

the good: HMP was a great experience as the stands are about 10 yards from the concrete divider of the strip. In addition to that, people can essentially lean on the divider during races and the track allows BYOB. This makes it a great place to bring a bunch of friends just to watch you race. SInce it was import night, tech was real slack. I guess they assumed there would be no fast cars or something. Basically I didn't wear a helmet (reason will be explained in the bad section) and I took people for passes down the track.
first pass I went solo, second pass I took my dad, third I took my brother, and fourth I took my GF. they are all hooked now .

the bad: Car did not perform so well. I have been limping around on a "going-out" belt tensioner and HMP finally killed it. I barely peaked at 6lbs of boost on the runs. 60' were consistent 1.99's making it my first time in the sub-2.0 area. My 1/8 mile times varied from 8.3-8.6 in an increasing fashion.
From my calculations that equates to a 12.8-13.2 1/4 mile times. Bad for my car, but not too shabby for such little boost. I am researching 8-rib conversions and new tensioners as I want to get this problem taken care of and don't want to pull my blower two separate times. Boost was even falling off between shifts .

overall: great time

I will be going back there shortly.

would be nice, but that is not what i'm heading towards for this car.
I basically want a car than can roll off the street and run the times bragged about.
I don't think slicks qualify as a street car.
plus i don't have a beefy rear like you.
