Judging from current forecasts and predictions, it appears that Central Texas will see a shit-ton of rain.

I hear that the media is hyping this one up as usual, however(I don't own a television). Supposedly, the possibility of 100MPH winds has been mentioned. I would venture a guess that the likelihood of such a suggestion actually being realized is slim.

Just recieved a pre-recorded message from the city of UC telling us to expect 50-60 mph winds and from 6 -12 inches of rain and to stock up on things and put all lose yard items in a safe place .Im guessing that unless the storm turns way to the south of us or way to the east and hits LA then we should expect a shit load of wind and rain>>>>.

thinking of putting everything in my garage outside so i can fit the mustang and the truck in the garage since only carrying liability and leaving my wifes car outside since hers has full coverage. Last year when we had all those bad storms a huge tree in our front yard got twisted and torn in half and landed right down the middle of our house (scared the phuck outta me and the family , dead a sleep )causing $22,784 in damage so i hope we dont get those winds cause im not ready to go through that again....

oh damn, i hope it doesn't happen again. thats a horrible experience. hopefully it just sounds worse than it will be.damn, that sucks to hear, at least all of you are ok, the rest of the stuff is replaceable

And Dan I have drained the pool before its fine. I wasn't darining it all the way just get not quiet half of the water out. If it rains as much as they predict that pool will overflow and head towards the house!!!

on a side note... would it be acceptable for me to unhook my battery when I leave my car in their garage? I'm gonna be gone for 2 weeks, and it seems like it could be a bit safer that way.
