I'd hate for it to be too bad where it is strongest, but I would also like to see SOME rain here. I thought we were gonna get a little bit from Gustav, but no such luck. I'd like at least a little pouring for a while at least.

My NCOIC called me this morning, woke me up and rearranged my schedule for the next week because of this f*cking thing.

Today is my Friday, and I was looking forward to having Friday & Saturday off, well, now I only have Friday off. I work Sat, Sun, Mon night with just ONE other person...for 8 hours. That means we're the poor SOBs that get stuck at work for "emergency manning" so that no one else has to come in to work.

After those 3 days, I get a 3 day weekend to compensate, though.....it's still gay.

Tropical Storm Weather warning in Dallas so S.A. and Austin should get a good drink of water. And this thing is 90 miles wider than Katrina... we will all have fun. I'm in east texas and we are gonna get about 60mph winds and you can bet that I WILL be out there playing in the wind... I've always wanted to do that until it gets too crazy. Beaches are already flooded on the coast and this thing is 12 hours from landfall. hmmm... -JM
