I can't catch a break!

After a lot of talking to shops and some of ya'll it was determined that the metallic lurch that I have been hearing in 2nd and 3rd gear when I pass 2500rpm is not my throw-out bearing, it's louder when I get on it more (not full throttle)! I had the car on a lift yesterday and had at least a 1/2 inch of clearance in all those special places so nothing is rubbing under load.....this is killing me, I don't want to have to drop the tranny! On top of that (this is where I need some help guys) I can hear my valves tapping when I get on it a bit! It goes away, but it is making me leary.........tip in detonation? Lack of fuel? Any thoughts guys, on either one of these issues??? Input would be greatly appreciated!

I listened to the car and it only made the noise one time and could not duplicate it any more after that, but it is not ping or exhaust related.
Checked motor mounts, seemed ok, suggested getting a better trans mount anyway.

I very much appreciated you time Jody! As said it's not ping (thank god) or exhaust related, but we will get it ironed out!

he had brought i bye long ago and the only sound we could here was what seemed to be normal syncronizer and trany bearing whine.. however he has said it has goten much louder as of late.

possible mian cluster bearing or input shaft bearing..

however stuff like noise from bearings usualy does not come and go.

It only did it in 3rd under a light load, he was afraid to get on it any more in fear of damages. I did not think it was in the tranny, could have been the diverter valve for the super charger, but only heard it one time and the one time was not enough to diagnose it properly.
