I got robbed!

So anybody else's car get hit this weekend. My bro was going to work sunday morning and saw that my driver's side door was wide open. The idiots took my owners manual, owner's manual cd, and my wheel lock. They got my bro's car too, took a cd case with like 150 cds. They didn't stop with us either they also hit two different neighbors across the street. The thing that gets me is that my bro's car alarm didn't even go off (black widow alarm). Now best buy says they can't do anything for the alarm not working. At least they didn't take the car though. All they had to do was putting in neutral and roll it out down the street. Any one know how they could get passed the alarm? This $h!# just pisses me off. Watch your cars.

What damage did they do to get the door open?
Make sure to lock the wheel so they can have a hard time rolling/manuevering it.

You did not hear the alarm or did not go off? Any hood can be opened from the outside, maybe they cut the speaker wire??

If Best Buy installed it, I think you have a claim.

There were no signs of forced entry. I checked the window seal to see if I could see where they might have used a slim jim but there was nothing. They didn't cut the speaker wire because the alarm still works now. Unless they would have taken the time to rewire it but i don't think thats going to happen. No alarm went off or anything. My car's exhaust make his car alarm give a warning beep every morning when I turn it on which makes his alarm pager beep which wakes him up but he didn't even hear the pager alarm go off. And that crap best buy is saying, is bs we'll see what they say when we actually go down there.

to be on the safe side. I would go buy some brand new wheel locks for your wheels right now. Cuz if they have your wheel locks... they might come back for the rims...

Sucks to have that happen. Thats why i got my code alarm.

Sounds like the same guys who took my tools out of my car a couple of months ago. Same exact senario except my car didn't have an alarm. That was on the northeast side.

I seriously think thats what happened because my bro's alarm will chirp if you barely tap the car. They had too have had some kind of scanner.

i know that side well. Used to live off bandera and braun. And now i drive past there almost every day for school (NVC college)

Construction workers are known for their dishonesty in a lot of places.

At my parents current residence, we had an automatic gate opener, and it was WELDED ON. Well it magically got un welded off of our gate and dissapered. Who the hell has the tools to do that crap. Our neighbors house was being built at the time...
