Your valve springs would'nt have anything to do with your oil pressure, worn cam or crank bearings or a worn pump would though..What was you oil pressure gitting up to at higher RPM's. 15-20 psi at idle is pretty good though...I heard it should be 10 PSI per 1000 RPM...

I was reading about those. Very excellent pumps. Yea thats pretty good at least if your at operating temp. Now there should be an increase in oil pressure also the more you rev the engine. So if it goes to 30 at 3000 rpm then it should also increase the more the rpm's increase. If it doesnt do that, then there may also be a bearing clearance problem. or clogged oil galley's,and or it just may be the pump....

I dont know how old your oil presure gage is but maybe swap it out to eliminate it as the problem. Just a thought

As stated earlier, if the car is at operating temp, the pressure you're seeing is normal. Pressure is higher on a cold motor and drops at it warms up. Pressure increases with rpm. At idle, 10-20psi is correct on a warm car.

that sounds about right, mine runs about 15-20 psi when idling, but if i rev it it goes up to around 50 at 3k and driving around its around 60 at 3k in 5th. but the psi has dropped since its gotten warmer.
