? installing a bbk throttle body

so i cant seem to get off the plastic spring cap off the side of the throttle body so i can put the spring on the bbk. any ideas on how i could do this without breaking it? the instructions say "remove the plastic spring cap (this can easily be done with a finger" ...*cough*bullshit*cough*....

If I were you I would put all the stock stuff back together and sell that throttle body. More than likely your just going to experience problems and not gain any noticeable horsepower unless you've got some sort of power adder. Just my 2 cents though.

I've got that TB on my 05. It hit 302hp to the wheels at Murillo's with 87 octane with the TB BBK CAI and Flowmater mufflers on the factory tune. And yes that plastic spring cap should pop right off. The hardest thing on installing it is getting the spring set right. after you get it back on the butterfly should open easily with your finger and close all the way with light pressure

Thanks y'all, the tb was basically the last thing I could think to do before getting inside the motor with the exception of a new intake(manifold not air intake) and I don't want to spend $800 on an intake when the plan is to throw a roots style on it in the future. I do have a power adder and my car last year at ART made 316/327 (na) on a 93 race tune(canned) I'm getting a dyno tune for the spray and na hopefully at the end of the month so I should see a couple more hp once it's done.
