Internal Crossover???

Can Anyone tell me if a Jensen vm9311ts has an internal crossover (which is supposedly required for the mach 460) I want to go to an aftermarket head unit but maintain the stock speakers and amplifiers... Anyone that can answer that for me please do!

crutchfield only mentions a subwoofer "crossover", however the "ASP" looks interesting.

Audio Controls: Bass and Treble presets are stored into memory, allowing you to recall the best setting for different types of music. You may choose from the following presets: Jazz (Bass=+12, Treble=+8), Pop (B=+8, T=+12), Classical (B=+8, T=+8), Rock (B=+12, T=+12), Vocal (B=-6, T=-8), Flat (B=0, T=0), or User. When in the User preset only, you can independently adjust the bass and treble settings between -14 and +14. The Subwoofer level can be independently adjusted between -7 and +7. You can select up to 4 levels of Loudness or Off.

Audio Sound Processing (ASP): The ASP allows you to independently select the bass and treble center frequencies. The bass center frequency can be set to 60, 80, 100, 130, 150, or 200 Hz. The treble center frequency can be set to 10, 12.5, 15, or 17 kHz. When the bass center frequency is selected, you can choose one of the following bass Q-factors: 1, 1.25, 1.5, or 2. The subwoofer output's low-pass filter frequency can be set to 80, 120 or 160Hz, and the subwoofer's phase can be set to 0 or 180 degrees.

personally I would just get a 4 channel and rewire the mids. If you look at the specs of the 460 it is only set up with about 40wrms @ 2% THD. Big thumbs down.

1. You can buy a wiring harness to make it work but I have never heard a mach 460 using 1. There are two different ones and both can be found at crutchfield.

2. you re-wire the speakers using the Headunit connections (weaksauce) or you add a couple of amps and rewire the whole thing.

Well that's why I was asking cause it shows some controls in there, and I've heard that if the after market has a built in crossover there's no need to go with an aftermarket amp... I like the stock sound... the speakers are just fine how they are, and I have a jl audio 500/1 monoblock amp and a 10w7 wired in, so all I wanted to do was upgrade the headunit cause I'm sick of the 6 dish in dash and all the CD ERRORS I get from it... plus I'm asking for one for x-mas so I don't really want to go all out and replace EVERYTHING

No I don't live there anymore... I'm in Ohio now, the main reason I was asking here, was cause I can't find a good local forum, and I trust everyones opinions on here... The reason I want to know if it has an internal crossover is because I really don't want to have to wire a bunch of stuff up in the snow... I'm asking for that head unit for x-mas and will have to install it in the cold cold ohio winter, lol... if you ever experience one you'll know what I mean
