is there a fix for yellowed lexan?

My headlights are yellowed from age. I figured I'd just replace them until I saw how much OEM replacements are for 97 Cobra headlights! Is there a way to polish out the discoloration?

Actually it can be cleaned up...there is a product called "Blue Magic" you can pick it up at Wal-Mart or Autoxzone and mostly any place that carrys automotive shit.. all you do is apply it with a cloth and rub it out.... let me tell you that it does take a little work but it comes out and you'll be shocked to see how nice they come out. I learned this from some 5.0 guys.... it also works miracles on wheels.... try it out, it'll save you tons of money.

Good stuff, its in a little white and blue bottle, its like a wax. It works pretty badass on scratched CD's as well.

I have heard of using billet polish on headlights also. That is supposed to work pretty good. I will have to try that walmart stuff though. A guy I know polished mine about 2 years ago and it made a big difference, but It is about time to do it again.

I can get my yellowed headlights on my 88 to look brand new by just using buffing compound and wax. I have to do it about once a month but it saves me from forking out the cash for new ones until I have it.
