Exclamation Issue with the "new post" link???

I don't know if it's just me or not, but I seem to be having an issue with the "new post" link. It keeps acting like I've clicked it multiple times, even though I only clicked it once. It's pretty much been doing it all day and I think last night a bit too. If it's just me, I suppose it could be because of an add-on I added to firefox, but I don't see why it would effect this site specific feature only.

I'm running FireFox here at work with several add-ons, and it is working fine for me.

Can you further explain what it is doing? Is it basically refreshing the page over and over?

And what add-ons do you have installed right now?

You're only allowed to click the link once every 10 seconds or it tells you to wait. Instead now, even if I haven't touched LSS for an hour, if I go and click it, it says "This forum requires that you wait 10 seconds between searches. Please try again in 10 seconds.". It's always worked up until now. I added the "interclue" add-on and this is when it started messing up.

What does that interclue add-on do?

And the reason that 10 seconds thing is happening is, when you click New Posts you are really just doing an advanced search of the forums. We have a flood control setting set to restrict continuous searches as they can really slow down the database.

It lets you preview links in a mini browser rather than opening a whole new tab or window. My uncle showed it to me so I've been trying it out, might ditch it though. I understand the 10 second rule when it works as it should like clicking the link repeatedly, but I'm not clicking it repeatedly which is why it doesn't make sense! I can be idle on LSS for 10 minutes, an hour, whatever and it acts like I just clicked the link 1 second before I actually did.

Would you mind disabling the add-on and try it again? Just would like to rule that out as the issue here.

Well seeing as no one else has replied and you're not having an issue right now, that's my best guess as well. I don't mind at all, I might delete it all together.

Well I disabled the add-on which prompted to restart the browser and the issue seems to be gone. I just don't know if it was the add-on that was the issue or that my browser just needed to be restarted...

EDIT: Can lock or delete this, whichever is better.

Fathom the odd hypocrisy that Obama wants every citizen to prove they are insured, but people don't have to prove they are citizens.

If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you weren’t a racist, you’d better vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot.

The Navy SEALS removed one Muslim threat to America ...
It's up to the voters to remove the other!

... of course not, dahhhhling. I maintain the computer at home - where your work computer has never been cleaned out or tuned up or probably even updated. Bah-da-bing! LOL!
