No one should feel singled out by this thread or the other one. It just so happens that the other thread was the first one enforced. If you are making a profit from this site, you should contribute back into it. None of us sponsors/vendors enjoy spending money on advertising but thats just the way it is. I'm pretty sure Jeff would prefer not to spend the money it takes to keep the site running either.

LSS rates are more than fair compared to some of the other speciality sites out there. If anyone has an issue with not paying for advertisement, stop advertising.

    Well put and I agree.
We're very happy being sponsors on this site. It's a solid, legit site with dedicated members that continues to grow every year. I know, because I've been a member since the very beginning! I consider it money well spent. Thank you LSS.

And I don't mind going out of my way to help others BUT............. in the end I still do what I do for a profit. Other members on this board that flip cars, part out cars or even move through a lot of parts (even if they are personal items) should contribute to the site. People can use the excuse well I'm just tinkering around or this is just a hobby but in the end, if you do it and personally gain from it through this site, you should step up and help cover the cost of keeping the site running. If Jeff manages to turn a profit from running the site, I say good for him.

Hell its a good thing I don't own Craiglist. If I did I would charge people for posting shit on there. I'd keep the rates reasonable enough that they would continue posting but it damn sure wouldn't be free like it is right now.

You know, come to mention ,I've never even looked at the sponsors on this site other than mike( the source) . I never came to a Stang forum to pay full price on anything!

Don't get me wrong this is one of the best sites still around by far. And I love it. I feel like I'm being singled out on this matter
Brandon, I never meant for you to be singled out. I would have gladly taken it to PM but I also remember having a convo with you PM regarding this matter 2 or so years ago. You gave me 500 excuses of why you shouldn't be a sponsor here. You also made claims you never sell anything off of this site. If that is the case then why would you continue to waste your time doing so? Don't bullshit me. I turned the other cheek and backed off of you then. You advertising your services was the final straw for me. It is stealing from all of our sponsors who run a legit business.
I am just a lowlife overseas contractor who is all about the money.......

I think that you may get charged in some way or another for using Craigslist in the near future, it looks like it is heading that direction.

As long as the rates are reasonable, I'm fine with that. I would charge people $.50 per ad if I owned the site.

Another Sponsor that has helped me for "free" countless times!!!

Great guy.,..does amazing work, cares about his customers...AND pays LSS fees...

So should this paying Sponsor be competing for the same customers from people who dont pay fees here...but advertises porting of intakes...which Ron does too?

Ron owns a dyno...and can validate his work's perfromance gains too....

And thats basically the point. Several of the sponsors on here compete for business from the same customer base. While everyone is looking for a "deal" to get things done, allowing others to advertise a similiar service free of charge is only going to piss off the paying sponsors. I personally would be pissed off if someone was on here advertising transmission parts and repairs without paying a fee like I do every year.

My .02 on this is I understand how expensive any type of advertisement is and when I can get my name out for free I would try to do it every time I can. On the other hand if I was explained the rules of advertising without paying for it and continued to do it I would expect to have some consequences from it. Also when I pay for a sponsorship I expect to get certain exclusive privileges that only paying sponsors get and expect the site that I'm paying to make sure that is the case. I would suggest that the sponsors get with Jeff and have a agreement on what exclusivity there $'s pays for (If that Hasn't happened) and then expect the mods to make sure that non sponsored advertisements are dealt with in a reasonable time. I would also expect that if someone keeps trying to break the rules knowingly he/she probably need to have a permanent solution.
