    Talking It has begun

    All work is being done by Iron Horse Motorsports

    well just picked up my turbo and just cant wait to get the rest of the parts... soon my v6 will be boosted

    Now that you have the simplest part to get, where are you getting all the hard stuff?

    its a turbo that came off from a powerstroke, havent measured it yet but it could be a 57mm

    i already could get my hands on sum 30lb injectors/BBK AFPR

    but all the piping is going to be fabed up.

    hmmm a powerstroke turbo?? dont think ive seen a build up on a 3.8 with one of those.

    cant wait to see the results. tuning should be a bit tricky.

    dam is building a turbo kit that easy. i always thought it was harder. dam im behind the turbo curve

    havent post up in a long time but this is what i all got...

    42lb injectors
    90mm MAF
    255lph fuel pump(installed)
    oil guage
    gauge pod
    Hot side piping
    3" downpipe (should be getting it this week)

    CxRacing BOV kit



    Boost guage


    3" V-band clamp
    3" v-band flange male/female
    2.5" to 2" coupler


    CxRacing 38mm wastegate and boost controller



    2.5" V-band clamp
    2.5" v-band flange male/female



    this is were we might put the turbo and relocating the battery on the other side (still deciding)

    i wanted to install the 42# injectors and bbk AFPR but i was beat already from taking off the exhaust system and both headers

    nothin big just the t4 flange gasket and 02 bungs



    With bumper off



    Passenger side turbo header












    So all the hot side is done. The downpipe is done for now. (later on im going to finish on buying the downpipe.)

    all that is left are...

    Install few o2 bungs
    TIG weld the hot side and downpipe
    Mount the wastegate.
    Tap the oil pan.
    Buy and install the oil lines and fittings
    Finish the last half of the cold side and the BOV
    Install the boost controller and vacuum lines.

    Thats pretty much it

    I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you will likely see around 300 - 320 at the wheels. I based that off stock horsepower ratings of about 200hp, with 12# boost making it nearly 400 (estimated 375 - 380) and a 17% loss of power through the drivetrain. Will be interesting to see the numbers...more interesting to see her run...MOST interesting to see her serve some "SHUT THE HELL UP" to a couple Chevy V8s
