Hiring an lawyer is a waste of time and money . If you want to file a suit , go to your local JP court and file one against the business . Make sure you have the right person listed on the suit (owner of business) and the correct business name (must be exactly like its recorded at the court house) . Once you pay the fee to file the suit , gather up all your evidence (pictures , receipts , affadavits from the other shop working on the car and so on) . Show up for court and tell the judge your side of the story . Worse case , you are out another $75.00 and you lose . Best case , they have to refund your money pls what ever damages the judge feels you are entitled to and you can use that to fix your car .

The Source is correct. JP court is the best way after the news stations, make sure you go to the correct court as well.

JP court is a joke. Even if you win, the business can refuse to pay and the court can't and won't do anything to enforce its ruling. You have to pay again to get a judgement against the business. Then pay some more to have it served. I know a person that went that route and ended up paying more in filing and court costs than he received.

Pro-Bono means "free." Not paid later.

Don't ask for Pro-Bono; ask for payment contingent on the resitution awarded.
