I got my shift light because whenever I go to the track I wanna keep my eyes on the track, not on the tachometer. Anything can happen during that second you take your eyes off the track. Just my .02

You've got extensive mods, wasn't talking about you. I would have my eyes on the track more than a tach or a light either way, but that's just me. I just listen and feel it more than anything. As I already stated though, it's his car and his money, so we'll just see how it goes!

If you're that good on knowing when to shift when your car by just listening then that's good. I'm not that good lol

I'm not sure which one, I have to look it up now. It could've been a non-mustang but I'm pretty sure they've been around since before rice was rice... No pissing contest here!

I'm not THAT good, but you can hear and feel once it gets to that point where it doesn't really pull anymore kind of... get what I mean? Where that gear gets out of it's powerband I guess... when it gets close to that point I shift. I DO look at the gauge, but only when I'm going WOT and don't wanna redline. Someone else will probably say it's totally wrong, but if it's DD, I don't see the point. You said you go to the track... I haven't yet.

And thanks for the comment Reserve.

Exactly, just a conflict of opinions I guess. That's it.

I'm not mad, it's all good! They were on the car when I got it. I couldn't find any proof on the origin...

And to the OP I give this additional advice. If you're doing upgrades such as suspension (prime example), get all the parts together first and have it all done at once. This will cut down labor costs, time, headaches, and needs for multiple alignments and such. That's fact!

EDIT: And I forgot to mention, the light in the vent is pretty cool. If you install it, do it that way.

that shift light in the ac vent is awesome!! Id do 4.10s and rear suspension. WIth some soft rubber. Then a tb and plenum setup. Those are the mods in which i noticed the most gain. Even though i have 3.73s, still felt a good gain. 4.10s goin in 2morro.!!!

okay i'm gettin mixed feedback on this one. I don't know which gears to get, 4.10s or 3.73s. It's a daily driver so ive gotta take the price of gas into account.

I say 3.73's cuz I think like you as far as gas goes... that's why I still have stock gears. Most everyone else on here already said screw gas prices and will say go 4.10's. It's all up to you in the end.
