i just had a run in with a police officer......

i was in the parking lot at my work,got in my car and was driving off when a minivan or small suv comes around the corner and honks at me slams into park and who jumps out but a police officer who then runs up to my window and proceeds to yell at me saying that i was to far on his side of the road....in a parking lot WTF?

now i dont now what to do because i am not all that clear on the laws but....if it was anyone but a cop that did that would that not be considered road rage......

oh well it is over but i will let yall know what happens in the future because he was from the area and my car is 1 of 1 in this area

You should have asked him where the lines were that divide the driving area in the parking lot....then when he could show them to you then you would honor them.

Maybe he just had his panties in a wad because he wanted to watch the pro bowl....or he was a big Anna Nicole fan and is still upset.

The copper violated the law because he was in his private vehicle and you weren't commiting a felony. He would have to call a marked patrol officer. But its not like you were in his way on purpose.

Many years back a had a run in with a Sheriff and a Code compliance officer. They were in a city vehicle and the cco was cutting off other drivers. He was approaching me pretty quickly on the right lane and cut me off with no signal. I got on the horn and flashed the high beams but without braking, almost hitting him. At the intersection they both got off the car and the Sheriff was asking for my dl. I refused to give it to him and told him to f*** off. He kept trying to get me to step out of the car. I was with my mom so I did not want to make it any worse and eventually steped out. He began to frisk me and told me to watch my road rage attitude.
