    Knocking under dash

I have a 2006 GT, when I have the a/c knob turned to the right (defrost side) then turn it to the left side(a/c side) there is a loud knocking under the dash. It does it for a couple of seconds the goes away. Does anyone know why it is doing this, and how to fix it?

How much does it cost to fix this? and If I don't fix it will further damage happen or will the noise just continue?

will not hurt anything, may get worse and eventually you may not have the ability to switch it... probably a cracked door though. the actuator shouldn't make a noise like that.
