Tubular front suspension can drop anywhere between 50-70 lbs. Aluminum driveshaft is good for about 10 lbs. Those wheels are costing you a good bit. Stock snowflakes are about the lightest wheels for a Mustang, depending on what you have you can drop up to 10 lbs per wheel. Exhaust is another easy way to drop some weight; I'm not sure on exact pounds, but just by installing I could tell the Bassani was much lighter than the Flowmasters I had. If you have leather seats, you can drop some by trading for cloth - but not much, since they're both power driver seats. Unless you trade for V6 seats. Just out of curiosity, how much does your car weigh right now?

what wheels are you refering to when you stated stock snowflake wheels?

to keep a car very streetable, I say:
-gut the trunk
-rear seat delete
-tubular k-member
-remove quad shocks if you have some good control arms
-relocate the battery
-modify the front bumper support
-some lighter seats
-add some light wheels if you can afford to.
other than that, i wouldn't do much more as it cuts into practicality.

+ the wedges behind the rear wheels

the dog bone weight off the rear end

floor mats, windshield wipers (track only), all your windshield washer fluid, spoiler, clean out your car, center console, glove box, i bet you can find a quick 30 pounds without spending 500+ on a tubular K member.

streetable = spare

keep your spare and jack; take it out at the track. (hey, that rhymes) No sense in getting stuck on a highway somewhere if you have a flat.

Keep in mind that many tubular k-members were not designed for daily driving or on-road use. What brand is the one your buddy has? I would be very leery of something "cheap" that's responsible for holding the motor and front suspension in the car.

misnomer

i directly picked up .1 when dropping 50 pounds when my car weighed near 3000

50 pounds affects a 3900 pound car differently than a 2900 pound car.
