Liquid Clay Bar
I recently got some Liquid Clay Bar to get the swirl marks and small scratches out of my car. It didn't seem to work. I followed the instructions on the bottle. It said to apply the clay to the sponge and use firm pressure and a back and forth motion, stick with me now get your head out of the "gutter."
It didn't take any swirl marks or scratches out. HELP!? ![]()

I have never used Liquid Claybar before. Is it supposed to do the same thing as a standard claybar? If it is, then it will not remove swirl marks. A regular clay bar will only remove surface contaminants in the top layer of paint/clear such as embedded grains of metal, tree sap, airborne environmental deposits, paint overspray and wax.
To remove any kind of swirl marks there must be some type of fine abrasive material in the product. Check your packaging and post up what it says on it to give us a better idea of what you are working with.

Check it out bro. The clay will remove the dirt and light particles in our paint and make it smooth. After that try using a orbital buffer and thrown down some good wax like a cleaner wax or nu finish. You will have zero swirls. I buffed for 6 years at the auto auction so I know what im talking about. My stang is dark blue and smooth and zero swirls, let me know if you need help with it! Good luck.

Thanks for all of the comments. Razor81, you say that it will take out swirls if I use a cleaner wax afterwards. I'll try it. I am using the "Ice Liquid Clay." I also have a dark blue mustang that looks good after waxing, but it's those damn swirls that dive me crazy. I'ld love to have some help if your willing to show me on a spot on the car. PM me if you want.
