Lock Blade knives illegal?

I heard that ALL lock blades are illegal to carry on you person now unless you're on the clock. ?? Sounds like BS

I beleive only if the blade is over 5.5in in length

* Max length: 5.5"
* Specifically illegal: Switchblade, throwing knives, daggers (in general), bowie knives, swords and spears.
* Relevant laws: Penal Code 46
* Quirks: The one state people associate with Bowie knives explicitly forbids them.

also any knife that can be opened by centrifigual force...which some lockbacks are worn enough that they can be flipped open...this is also an illegal knife

They are not illegal as stated above, I think that is a San Antonio city ordinance but its not a state law. Not sure, but I have heard that rumor before too.
