because this goes late into the evening. Those that want to come out later can. I'm trying new things, and want to see how it goes. I am always open to suggestions, but as of now, the location is set.

And I do want to invite other clubs, but I would feel like a jack ass to invite other clubs when we have only 4 cars show up. I felt bad for chris last week, and I dont want to keep doing that to people. Thats why I want a big showing from with in our club first.

this is the same day as the pool party. I get out of work at 3 and will be heading over to the NE side of town. depending on what time i leave there ill swing by

I'll try it again Juan. Maybe this time we ought to all park along the road or under the lights or something so people driving by might get interested. Get some new folks to show up or at least if any LSS drive by, will know for sure it's the place. Just a thought. I may drive my monster truck instead of the Cobra since I am trying to sell the truck to get my wife a black gt vert to mach my Cobra. Picture of it attached if anyone interested.

Nothing "happened".. he/we just mean the turnout wasn't good at all. 5 cars was it.

Because this is a place where the owner is expecting us as a car club to show up. Not just a group of friends, thats more of a Sonic or movie type of thing.

not fighting hard just dont understand really. I took off of work to go since i misssed the last one. I normally dont get off til 10:30 on sat nights so i wouldnt make it. Im going to the pool party so i guess its not a total lost but if the pool party wasnt there i hate taking off of work and then the reason i take off gets cancelled.

from the start this was announced as a monthly meet, I only announced that we would try it back to back afterward. You told everyone you were off since last week. trust me, this week would have been like last week.

If I didn't have to work, I'd go.

The largest turnout LSS gets is at Biff's...and that's not even a huge amount of people.

I feel bad for Juan going through the hassle and putting his name out there to try and get a big LSS specific meet together. It makes sense to have it once a month as THE meet to go to for LSS members because since it's ONLY once a month, everyone can plan to be there, so 20 cars shouldn't have been an issue.

What I don't understand is why it seems so hard to get people to show up to meets other than Biff's and maybe a Spurs game. If it's far enough in advance, there should be no problems.

Half the people I talk to on here on a daily basis I've never met face to face. Kinda lame, imo.

getting to know the other members face to face is one of the main reasons for the meets. And as far as the support for the meets go, I'm guessing its more conflicting schedules and people being shy than anything else... Atleast thats what I think or hope.

You'll have my support, for the most part, when I get there in a few weeks! Looking forward to Mustang meets and get togethers! Keep up the hard work. Before you know it, it will be a large gathering of people. Some just need more advanced notice than others with solidity to the dates; i.e. third saturday of every month... Just a thought.
