Lone Star Stangs "Safe Street Night"

Date: Saturday, September 22nd, 2007
Time: 8:00PM-12:00PM
Cost: FREE

This will be the first run through of the Safe Street Night event. We don't want this one to be huge as we will be testing to see how the event unfolds and if we need to make any adjustments for future Safe Street Nights.

Feel free to tell friends, but we need this event to run smoothly in order to show the school's administrators that we are not a bunch of hooligans. Remember we are trying to create a safe relaxed place for car enthusiasts to visit and hang out together.

Any unruly behavior will result in permanent banning from the events, and students of the San Jacinto College District could be referred to the Dean of Student Development. You will also be under the jurisdiction of the Pasadena (directly), Deer Park, La Porte, and Houston police departments as the Central campus lies directly on the boundaries for the Pasadena, Deer Park, and La Porte jurisdictions, and the Houston police department (in partnership with the San Jacinto College police department) will be monitoring all events.

I need some LSS vinyls, and as the chapter adviser it is now your responsibility to be the middle man LOL!

Dang it!! I won't be able to make it... i'll be moving that weekend.

Does anyone have pics of the LSS vinyls on a car?? I'm sure I saw one long ago but can't find it. As I recall it looked really good.

No worries we plan on having this once a month during this Fall Semester and then hopefully twice a month in the Spring (if everything goes smoothly).

The vinyls look great, I'm waiting for mine to come in as we speak.

Just bumping this up!!! Things are going great over here, we have even had a few mini-meets in the parking lot, but we are unable to stay long since the Parking Lots have to be booked ahead of time!

yeah its a really good idea helps keep out all the people that dont know how to behave behind a wheel. I think they organized it with the school who then in turns has their own police dept who is backed up by all the other law enforcement of the area

Exactly the San Jacinto College District has its own police department. They also hire out extra police from HPD and Pasadena Police Department for these kind of events.

We have also notified all local PDs to just keep a wrap on the surrounding roads. We want to create a positive image from the event, with no negatives!

I'll give you a ring next time we meet up there. We should be meeting on the 8th just to have a run through of how the event will run. It'll be around 7PM if you want to help out on the 15th then be there and we will explain what we are doing and what will be allowed.
