Longtube help!
do i need any of this in order to put mac longtubes on my car? eBay Motors: Leftover Parts from Mac LT Headers, 2005 Mustang (item 180159148936 end time Sep-19-07 20:07:26 PDT)

the x pipe? the high flow cats? which are you talking about?. you dont NEED an x pipe. the shop can just cut down your Y pipe and attach it to that. you dont NEED high flow cats, but then your stock cats most likely wont fit on the midpipe (mine didnt so i have the o/r midpipe now). the two o2 sensor "tubes" will be on the LTs

All you need is the headers and gaskets, for the header install itself. What you do after it us up to you.
I recently did this install, and put high-flow cats in as well. I had dual exhaust before then, so that made it a little easier overall. I had custom downpipes made at the local muffler shop and ran them from the headers to the cats. No x pipe. Don't bother with mac's prochamnber or whatever it is they recommend for after headers; instead, just ge the downpipe and other piping made for the car, and go with 2.5" pipe instead of the stock 2.25"! You'll love this setup!!! PM me for pics/details, as I dont have access to them from this computers.
