Lowering spring buyers guide

Ok, I did a search and didn't come up with much, so I guess I'll post it up. I have Eibach sportlines right now, but recently had longtube headers installed so I'm looking for some springs with a little less drop, but also better ride quality because IMO the sportlines suck. They were on the car when I got them, so I had no control over that. I do have the stock springs but don't want it that high either. I figure I can add a poll and y'all can vote or just post your experiences here and everyone can use this as a buyers guide of sorts when looking into buying springs. Please post spring comparisons to stock; or if you've had many aftermarket setups, post significant differences you noticed between different setups. Hope this turns out the way I anticipate. Thanks for any info.

p.s. Sportlines are 2" front/1.8" rear drop

I thought about it as far as ride height goes, but if they ride anything like their sportline counterpart, I don't want em'.

Do you have these springs or know someone who does, or is this just your opinion?

I love my drop right now for looks, but for daily driver, it's not always so great. I just want something 1/4" to 1/2" taller. It's B, C, then F least to most drop, right?

b,c are the same drop IIRC but the spring rates are a little different. B is more for a DD car just looking for looks. C is more for performance

Ever known anyone who had roush stage 2 springs or ridden in a Roush stage 2? I'm interested in those right now, or possibly H&R because they seem to be pretty popular.

well in regards to ride I tihnk any drop spring is going to have a negative affect on ride. I have BBK Gripp springs that drop 1 1/2 inches and they aren't too harsh but no where near stock.

Yeah, I know they will all be stiffer than stock, but I just don't want something so stiff. I have also looked at those BBK Gripps. Did you have it stock and then lower it, so you could tell the difference? That's my problem is I've never been in a stock car.

yea I went from stock to dropped. Handling is night and day but the ride went from pretty nice to a little stiff. The gain in handling outweighed the stiff ride though. I got them used too.

Yeah, I got mine like this, so I never felt stock. I love the handling, (except when it's wet... almost died a few times), and the stance is awesome but the ride beats you up sometimes. Does the prokit have less spring rate for softer ride? Y'all know how bad SA roads are....

to be honest, maybe my springs were shit when I bought the car, but the pro-kit...seems to make me feel less bumps, and give me a better ride. I did new schocks and struts at the same time, so im sure that is a factor as well

say dude let me know if you're interesting in selling the sportlines - I'm not running long tubes and I love the stance on sportlines. I actually only need the front springs LMK
