Lowering Springs?

I have a question about lowering springs on my '97 GT. I am going to be getting the H&R super sport springs, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on the install.

yea don't bother with a spring compressor on the fronts. I know people will say that the springs can pop out but I've actually tried to get them to fly out of the perch and it's just highly improbable. Just jack up the a arm til the weight is supportted on it. Next unbolt the strut nut on the top. Then SLOWLY lower the jack until it's fully decompressed. While prying the spring out you can push the arm down more. I know theres another way by unbolting the a arm from the other side but I have never done them that way. Maybe someone can chime in on that.

i wouldn't do it unbolting the a arm, however, you forgot the step about lifting the car by the k member... just lift the car as high as you can NOT BY THE A ARM... then use that jack on the a arm to support it just as was stated above... unbolt your CAMBER PLATES... (dont have to drill out the rivets...) lower the jack after you unbolt your swaybar... that takes care of the front, you can pry the stock springs out, and the new ones will slide in fairly easily... for the back, put 2 jacks, one on each side, unbolt the lower shock mount, lift the jacks until the springs fall out.. install in reverse order

Ask Archie (machgsxr). He basically did mine, and it looked pretty simple.

I figured he knew enough on how to get the car in the air. Just a little tip on how to get the spring out.. Thats the whole battle with the fronts.
