However, if the river is too high, we always have the option to go down the comal which is right up the road from the guadalupe. (the comal is almost always safe to go tubing, they hardly ever close it, as opposed to the guadalupe.)

As of yet there has been nothing said in the NB area about no tubing....but we still have a little over a week so if we don't get any more rain all should be cool.

On the news last night they said that they were going to close off the runoff from the dam a little so that the river was good for tubing this weekend, so chances are it will be fine next weekend.

Very nice, but if they do close it, we can do what Joe suggested or have a BBQ at some park?

Greg, I will be givin' ya a call early next week. We are still planning on coming over to your house and piling up in trucks (for those that don't wanna take their stangs to the river)...this, after meeting at Home Depot in the Fourm on Sat at 1000.

Possibke bad news for tubing on the 10th..........

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Wednesday it was cutting back water outflow from Canyon Lake, from 3,000 cubic feet per second to 400 cfs until July 6.

After July 6 the flow from Canyon Dam is expected to be increased dramatically, which will close the Guadalupe to all but guided raft trips for several days.

What is several days???

several is until the weekend, as i said before, they let out as much water as they can till the weekend. They will not close their biggest touring attraction if they do not have too.

If they do this and it makes the river to high we can alway go to the Comal down the street. That's the one I usually tube on anyway, if I remember correctly.... Hell I don't know which one it is now, I'm usually loaded anyway so who cares.
