All I know is we float down the river and catch a bus back to the tube rental place. And we can have coolers riding in inner tubes too.
What are we gonna need for this tubing thing? Just show up in swimming attire? What about keys, wallets and cameras? Store them in Ziploc bags? How much is it to rent the inner tubes?

as for keys, wallets, and cameras... i'm not sure what i'm going to do with my keys and wallet, but i am going to buy one of those disposable waterproof cameras so that i don't risk my digital cam while we're drunk on the water!

All I'm taking is an ID, key, and cash on my person. We'll have a bag full of crap in the car (sunblock, tylenol, sandwiches, etc.) I need to look for a little cooler for da beer though.
JohnAKA-Sure you can't go? We can put some floaties on ya..... ![]() |

i gots a question....
if i manage to get ahold of some tubes, is there a place that i can get them filled.... or would it just be better to rent, that way there's no worries. Its only like 10 bucks anyhow right?

I have a small air compressor at my house for tubes if you bring some.
And what is the charge about tubing?? I thought it was just a tube rental...so that means if you have you're own tube you go for free....or did I miss something? As far as keys and such...those of you who leave your car at my house can leave there keys and the rest of there un-needed stuff there as well.

Just found this for you guys....
New Braunfels Water Recreation Rules for Summer 2003 Obey the laws — to insure that everyone can enjoy the river and be safe, all laws will be strictly enforced. Remember there are laws against: Public intoxication Minors in possession Possession of controlled substances Lewd behavior Public nuisance behavior (which could include foul language, gestures, water cannons, funnels or behavior insensitive to a family environment) Trespassing (Please note most of the river bank is private property -- you should only use public facilities to get on/off the river.) Glass and foam products (ice chest, cups, floats, etc.) on the rivers — This ordinance protects you from injury and helps us preserve the beauty of the rivers. Littering — Please use trash containers — The fine for littering is $200 to $2000 — We've added more trash containers along the rivers and outfitters will provide mesh bags so you can help keep the river beautiful on your tube/raft/canoe trip. We will also provide additional trash pick up on busy holiday weekends. Jumping off bridges — Remember jumping off of anything into the river is very dangerous! ALSO: Keep pets on leashes at all times. We recommend that you leave pets at home for their own safety. Respect others on the water. - (Water cannons and funnels are discouraged) Use designated shuttle stops, which are clearly marked to catch a ride back to your outfitter. Use designated parking spaces. The city has parking at Prince Solms Park, vehicles $5, RV’s $7. We've added: New signs to mark the distance to the next public exit, alert you to the upcoming tube chute, and provide directions to make your trip more enjoyable and safe. New public restroom facilities for your convenience. HAVE FUN, PLAY NICE, AND DON'T MAKE WAVES! This information brought to you by The City of New Braunfels in cooperation with the Convention & Visitors Bureau

when we went floating in STL last week, we had a bunch of small tupperware containers to hold cigarettes, cash, etc etc. we also had these cool rafts that you could tie to a bigger raft, that were made specifically for huge coolers. we have like 3 or 4 of those rafts. it was a great time.

I'm going to make a run tonight and check out places to park and jump in the river. I'll post up what I find out.
Anyone who maybe knows alittle more about tubin' than me is more than welcome to come along, I'm just the half way point! ![]()

well, we had like 3-4 big coolers, and about 15 people and we were damn near empty by the end... it was a 4 mile float. just letting you guys know so we make sure we dont run out.. that would be catastrophic.
