LX to GT

well i have a 93 lx and im gonna put a gt kit on it I was just wondering if anyone has any instructions on how to remove the rear and front bumper and also will i need a switch or something to turn on the fog lights or will they just turn on when i turn on the lights?

There are 2 different switches...one for LX and one for GT...looks the same but the lower switch. ...below the headlight switch ...works...you can get it at napa for around 45 bux....

Taking the bumpers off is a piece of cake. You'll have fun taking off the back bumper. Some of those nuts are a pain to get to inside the hatch.

ahh gotcha no wonder I try to press that switch down and it wouldnt work hankx for clearing that for me :jeff:

aight im currentyl converting my 93 LX into a GT and i want to know how to remove the LX side moldings that go behind the front bumper and the ones next to the door. and hte ones behind the door. the only ones i have remove so far are the rear ones. i tried to remove the front ones today but didnt see any screws. also will i have to remove the ones from the door no right?

if your talking about the moldings between the tire and door those are glued/double sided taped on. As far as the moldings on the door they are also glued on as well but they differ from the GT ones. The center strip is thinner then the GT mold

how are you going to get the side skirts on?
do you have the rails they slide into?

Nope. just rip them off. The fun part is taken off the old glue tape.

don't use a razor blade you will cut up your paint use a heat gun and heat the top and bottom of the molding if you don't have a heat gun use a blow dryer work just not as good use paint scrapper if you pull it you have to use the blow dryer ( heat gun ) to reshape it
