Mach-1 Kill

I was driving my 88 on the 35 access road leaving the forum a blue Mach-1 pulled up next to me and wanted to run. We ran 5 or 6 times and I pulled him every time. He got ahead of me when we went from a stop, cause i was spinning through first and second. When i got traction I got out ahead of him again though.

Just some guy who happened to be on the road. Whoever it was could use that new kit ProCharger has out for Mach-1s though. :jeff:

It has a little work, but isn't making as much power as the Mach. Course it does weigh less, and to be fair he had 2 passengers. That added quite a bit more weight.

FOXES own no doubt about it. Im not saying the SN-95's are slow, they just weigh more and the torque comes in later in the 4.6's. I drive both all the time and there is a difference.

i use to have an 86 GT, my dad has owned a 85 GT since new, and i've got a lot of friends with highly modded fox stangs. i personally would love to have another 85/86 in addition to my 97. both cars have their high points. i agree the foxes are typically 100-200 pounds lighter, and yes their torque typically comes in sooner. but that doesn't necessarily guarantee them a victory. i love having a 97 GT since the 96-98's get absolutely no respect. it's all about being a sleeper.

you're absolutely right, most people immediately get bored when they see a 96-98 4.6l because they are such turds. (A lot of us V6 guys beat them with some bolt ons, or rear end gears, which is sad) Sleepers are awesome, go you. Did you keep the same engine or is that a 99+ 4.6l?
