    mass air conversion!

What all would need to be done to make an 1986 mustang gt mass air? I purchased a complete a9l computer and MA harness. I guess my question is was the harness i purchased necessary? Or could the existing 86 harness work?

Im in the process of buying a harness that adapts your speed density harness to mass air. It has 4 wires and ties in to your existing harness but you will need a mass air computer I believe. I'll get you some info as soon as I get mine or atleast the company where I ordered it. I believe granatelli makes one too.

if you got a good deal on the harness, you can use parts of it for your conversion.

Don't chop up the good harness, sell it and buy the MA conversion harness. You can get it here:

Mass Air Conversion Harness [CHARN] - $64.99 : Promracing.com, The Standard in Mass Air Flow Meters

Here is a pretty good write up on it on Stangnet:

    One on the Corral:

Some guys still need a complete factory harness and they are getting harder to come by so you should be able to sell the one you have with no problem. Hopefully you know what year car it came off of as that is very important as you cannot mix and match certain years.
