Matching carpet for my subbox
Right now i'm working on putting together a sub box for the trunk of my 2004 mustang.. ive got everything i need except carpet to cover the front of the box.
can anyone tell me where I can find carpet that matches my trunk for relatively cheap? im pretty sure the color of my carpet is dark charcoal, if it helps. -miranda |

post pics when ur done! Im working on the same thing! today i picked up my sub, hopefully it sounds good Putting it in a ported box 1.5Ft tuned at 34htz, made it wedged shaped so that it fit along side the back seat. It fits perfectly under my mach460 amp rack. will carpet and install this weekend, i ran the power wire through the firewall today, 4 gauage, ran it through the hood release hole. I have installed a pioneer Premier 590IB, ipod in the glove box, and done the resistor mod to prevent speaker pop when turning on. Stock peakers sound SICK!!! can wait to get the sub done and installed!
Any tips on running the wires and grounding points, so that It dont take me longer to do it right? I did my last vehicle and no visible wires anywhere, i cant stand when people get lazy and leave exposed wires! sub being used Pioneer USA - Champion Series Pro |

yeah for sure im putting 2 12" JL subs in the back of mine, thats why I had to custom build the box. and im using a JL 500/1 amp thats gonna be attached to the back of the box, facing the back seats. I'm putting it all together this weekend too-- ive had to do this over the past few weekends because im up at college and i didnt want to take my car up here to downtown austin haha. I've got an alpine head unit with the ipod connector in the glove box too. as far as installing the amp and hiding all the wires, crutchfield actually has an amp installation video and the car they use is a 99-04 mustang so it makes it pretty easy on us haha. heres the link: Car Amplifier Installation Video |

you can ground the amp anywhere you want that's metal... i normally just puta ring terminal on the wire then use a JL audio ground lug kit.. most of the time i try to use the top part of the spare tire well.. just make sure it's less than 1.5 feet w/ 4 guage wire.

Done and done!! man its sounds awsome! stayed up last night till 2AM to finish it but couldnt jam it till today! I love it! most of m trunk space is still there and the mach460 speakers sound so clean!!! All is left to do is built a "beauty panel" to sort of wall off the box and make it look like one whole piece goiing across the trunk, but i'll do that some othe time. The pioneer 10 inch sub i installed WANGS nicely! I was skeptical about what it sound like cause have always had one 12 in a ported box, but I went with the 10 for the space reasons and have no regrets! Pics will be up hopfully by the end of the day, hopefully I have some time.
