it's possible, but it could also be 2039875934857 other things... no check engine light yet? i'd figure out how to get a power ballance test done... with the computer at work it can tell you if you have even a slight misfire and in which cylinder it is.. that would be a good start... if it's not in just one or two cylinders, i wouldnt bother looking at the coils any more

Check your plugs to. 02 PI motors are bad for blowing plugs. Mine sounded like a small misfire, didn't even show on scan tools... then it blew through my coil.

My misfire occurred in cylinder 3 due to some moisture in the plug tube. There was no engine light for about a week prior to me taking it to get checked out. I took it to Jody (96greengt), and his shop had a genesis scanner in which he was able to clearly see the problem and identified it to be cylinder 3, even without the engine light being activated. He took off the coil and plug, checked them out, put them back, cleaned off the small amount of moisture that had built up in the tube and on the coil, and all was good. So, it will be easiest if you can identify the problem cylinder first. If you know someone who works at a shop, they should have a scanner similar that will be able to pinpoint something like this.
