Modding Help 05+ GT

My christmas and New year bonuses are on the way and the mod bug has bit. well I have $3,000 to spend and wanna spend about $500-700 on mods for the car and the rest on full exhaust for the bike. I already have a CAI and just ordered a short throw shifter thats on the way. Also have a xpipe thats about to get put on also. I just have a couple of questions regarding some mods.

1.)UPR Throttle Body Spacer Plate V8 and it states to add 10+hp. Questions - does it require a tune (dont wanna do a tune until out of warranty), does it really work, and does it work with a CAI installed. (Unlimited Performance Racing Products On-Line - UPR Throttle Body Spacer Plate V8)

2.)Gears should i go with 3.73 or 4.10 on a manual transmission.

What other mods could i get and stay under budget.

i thought general rule was 3.73 for blown engines but manual could be 4.10 or 3.73

i found this 65mm tb and spacer for a total of 380 shipped, states gains of 12hp on the tb and 5-8hp on the spacer. I think im gonna order these in the next couple of days, hoping to get some feedback on someone who has installed these already. They also report gain on gas milage.

throttle body spacers don't really work

chances are you don't need a new TB at this point with your mods

and get 4.10's its the only way to go IMHO, you will notice more of a difference with gears than any other bolt on period

my opinion would be 4.10s and a tuner, I think with what you already have those will give you the biggest gain for what you want to spend.

Most people agree that tb spacers aren't worth anything. If your really set on a TB get yourself a gt500 TB. There have been tons of post about aftermarket TBs failing or causing other issues.

seeing as you dont want to tune it, stay away from intake mods.. BUT with gears, a tuner is the easiest most versatile way to correct your spedometer... do you do more city or highway driving? (inside san antonio driving doesnot count as highway) if more city, i'd say 4.10's.....

4.10s

no tb and sspacer

An intake and a tune would be GREAT there is so much lost in the stock tune. Your biggest mph gain will come from that. mufflers wont actually add any speed.

and as far as warranty goes... i wouldn't worry about it, if you get a handheld tuner... you can always pull the modified tune back off

my friends warranty was voided because of a tuner. He pulled the tune off before he took it in however they could tell that it had been flashed. The dealerships have a new program that shares info with all the other dealerships. Any thing you have done to your car is put in a shared database. So he cant take his car to any ford dealership and have it fixed under warranty. I dont wanna take that chance. I bought an extended 7 yr 75k mile warranty and i dont wanna risk it.

due a real cold air intake instead of the pos no tune k/n and tune package and a set of under drive pulleys

with your off road you will make around 290 rwhp
