musclestang needs...

a new clutch soon... ive been putting it off, and now the wear seems to be becoming apparent, my mom drove the car and noticed it without me saying anything, its not slipping yet but it seems i adjust it often now...

So taking reccomendations, for a 00 3.8 with 42k miles, lightly modded. I sit in heavy traffic often, as do most austinites so she takes quite a bit of abuse. need some thing at least as good as stock, but a little more stout would probably do... also looking at the steeda adjustable cable kits, firewall adjuster, cable and double hook quadrant..???

any advice,tips or suggustions..

also need a place to buy from...

well, all i know is that, when i had non-stock clutch components (SVO quadrant, adjustable cable, 3 different clutches) all the clutches burnt out, due to misadjustments. so i went back to all stock, and its working better than ever. meanwhile, i wasted a couple grand burning out a few performance clutches.

i have the Ford Motorsport HD clutch and has work perfectly for a little over a year now! as for the brakes, look on ebay and other classifieds. you should be able to find some cheap. $487 isn't that bad though, for calipers, crossdrilled/ slotted rotors and brake lines!!

Talk to Toni. I went to Murrillo Motorsports got a good price and the work was done very quickly. They can advise you on a good set up. (210)946-1100.

You would have to ask Toni. Jimmy (another one of the guys at Murrillo Motorsports) told me they got my clutch done in about an hour, so i imagine they could do it. Like i say though, you would have to ask Toni.
