Man oh man.....I was on a roll for not paying attention last week.

Thats what I get for that....and thats what they get for rediculous $55 an entry.

Between me and the Mrs that would be $110. This build has already taxed me
and thats freeekin wacked...and to think I was stammering over the $70 ($35 x 2)...

    Oh well.......there's next year.

That is the WORST promotional flyer / website I have ever seen....Are they promoting Mustangs or an Elvis imposter?? WTF is the event about? Where are all the details?

I spoke to the Producer on the phone....

    GOOD NEWS!!

AFter our conversation he sent me this:

    Hello, Robert -

The website has been re-coded to allow for a backdoor access to Early Registration. This will be up until sometime after midnight tonight (Labor Day). Simply click on the words "Night Ranger" on the landing page at MustangFest 2009 | Mustang Island - Port Aransas, TX — our expanded website address. You can still use MustangFest.INFO also. Either way, please ask any forum participants to do their CHECKOUT FIRST — that is at the bottom of the Registration page, BELOW the Registration Form. Then come back and complete the form with the info. We will get the info once you hit Submit and you will be sent off into cyberspace with some advertising that means nothing to most of us.

You and the United Stangs, Lone Star Stangs, Black Mustangs and more are appreciated by MustangFest and we want you there — affordably. Because this will cost me some $100 to make all these changes, this will apply to this holiday weekend until midnight. Tell everyone, as the Night Ranger backdoor entry will disappear tomorrow.

MustangFest is now being followed on Twitter by John Force in California and by Ford Moter Company in Dearborn, Michigan. MustangFest is an MCA Regional Event; we welcome the competition from south Texas Mustang owners. MustangFest is a six-year annual event, scheduled through 2014 — the Mustang's 50th birthday year. I hope this helps and I invite you to tell EVERYONE via forums that the special provision has been made for Labor Day weekend thru midnight tonight. I'll look for your checkout and any others who wish to attend. The Mustang Elvis LIVE Dinner Show is $5.00 per person UNLESS you choose Preferred Seating for each person in your group. If so, you can purchase up to six (6) Preferred Seating options and share them with your friends who may not register.

Only registrants can buy Preferred Seating, so feel free to buy for your friends if you wish. They would then bypass the line and be admitted BEFORE the general public at 5:30p (30 minutes early). If they're late to arrive, they will get what's left for seating (if any) but they still get the $5.00 DESSERT credit deducted from their dinner check. The entrees run $5.99 to $13.99 for most meals and dessert is extra (with $5.00 DESSERT credit if you have a Preferred Seating ticket). We are not holding any seats for anyone — even me. You snooze, you lose.

As a registrant for MustangFest 2009, you are considered a part of the MustangFest family of businesses, sponsors and participants. We welcome you to the family, we wish you the best and we'll see you at MustangFest!

    With kind regards,

    Tom Hartford, Producer

It was a pretty good time. No rain till the drive home on Sunday. It wasnt very orginized, but still turned out pretty good. I think I will go to it next year again. Best times where hangin out with other mustang owners outside the show. Good eats at the crazy cajun. Only down side for me was, my new windshield got a good size spider crack with only 300 miles on it as I pulled into champion ford. one man can only handle one Mustang Elvis Show a Weekend.
Just because its your job does not make it right.

This was a fun event for a first time. Hope it grows for next yr. We stayed at the Dunes. That was great place it just needs a Bar by the pool.

Steve here ..thanks again for coming out to Mustang
Fest 2009 ..I know there a lot of misunderstanding uncalled for circumstances that i promise will not happen again . We will be meeting to discuss 2010 Mustang Fest if the San Antonio Mustang club will not have the control that we should have in some of the ares of the event ,we will not be hosting the show next yr but if we do get the control that we want then it will be an event that should not be missed...thank you and your friends for coming and being patient with us for the whole weekend ..looking forward to seeing you again and will try to keep in touch.

They said its going to be at the Same place next year.

Where is the helicpoter video of it or did anyone capture the news promo?

That stuff needs to be put up on the Mustangfest web page Steve.
So when do you meet with Tom about better control?

Island Tom made several guys very upset. I think its too much stress on one guy to get all that done. Make sure he delegates more so things get done.

im not sure about all the video and pics im sure they are still working on them editing and such..as for the show it will be held same place same time next yr . We have sent Tom a 5 page duty request and suggestion form .If he agrees,,we will run with it if not the event will have a new hosting club. I feel confident that he will go along with what we want. Yes Tom did get on alot of people's bad side but has time and time again apologized more then enough. He has found his faults and has expressed and admitted them . He now knows that there is help there to make the event a success. That in mind what has happened has happened and in the past now ,lets move on now ..and be ready for a fa nominal event next yr. Next yrs event will eradicate its self big time ..I promise you that.

    Steve
........P.S. cant wait to see you all at our show at the bass pro shop on the 25th

It was nice meeting you and your son at Mustang Fest. See you in San Antonio. That event was full of mishaps but how can anyone not have a good time in that location??
I wish he wouldn't have cancelled the entertainment and it's soooo true that you can only listen to Mustang Elvis one time for one weekend. He seemed like a really great guy though.

I'm still wondering why we can't find the video that they took from the helicoptor anywhere or the TV station. It can't take THAT long to do!!!
