That's a good thing, busy means they have lots of customers, which means lots of people trust them to do good work. if you just want it done quickly just go across to Juarez and have one of my cousins slap that shit on there with some pliers

the only thing i wanted was to have the parts installed. if they would have given me a price quote, and a date to go back then ok. I do understand that "busy means they have lots of customers" but like a fellow member stated that they seem too busy for your money. but in my opinion they need to learn customer service skills. And no i did want it done quickly; i just wanted it done within a couple of days, because i wanted to surprise him before he came back from his second tour in Iraq JACKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tend to agree no matter how much work you have on your table customer service is still number on the priority list. Its not the customers fault you have such a heavy work load. Diffrent companys tend to have different beliefs I guess. My .02 cents!

yeah, but you know how it is... I'm all about customer service, but I also know how it is when you want your stuff done right now, it's frustrating. I assure you Brian is not too good for anybody's money. He's got personnel issues right now. He's a really good guy to deal with if you give him a chance. I've dealt with a few performance shops and He's actually pretty high on my list as to how he treats you. Trust me he Will take care of you... I just think the right thing to do is not to judge someone and say that they are too good. That is his Business and you could affect it by crying about getting your feelings hurt.(not directed towards you ANR). that's how he eats. you mess with a man's livelyhood it's like messing with his old lady..... that's just dirty. OK I'm done. I'll leave your thread alone. GL with the mods.

Did you by any chance mention to them that this was a surprise for a returning soldier? That tidbit of info could make all the diference.

I've never been the type that believes the customer is always right . But I do agree with Robert , the shops need to stay in touch with their customers . If they are that busy , hire some old timer thats retired to answer phones for them or run parts for them . Most of them will work for little or nothing just to give them something to do instead of sitting around the house . There is no excuse why a shop cannot answer the phones or have someone available to deal with the customers .

Well let me tell you about my experiences with Texas Hot Rods.I talked to them in Oct06 about doing a engine swap into my mustang. The owner Brian said it would take 1 week, car sat at his shop for 2 weeks before they even moved it(rental car was $940 for three weeks, not $240 for 1 week. That I paid for)I deployed to Iraq for 14 months, the whole time I was there could not get a straight answer about the swap. The owner said one thing, the shop foreman(Bob) which quit 2 weeks ago and opened his own shop, said another thing.I told Brian I would be back in mid December, gave him thousands of dollars the whole time I was gone.I came back, the car was brought to Ford for something that he(Brian) said he could do for $40 ended up costing me an additional $640 from Ford. The original estimate was for $1000 labor including all the fluids.Brian later told me that the $1000 was only for switching the engines everything else was extra. The extra's was an additional $1700.Not done, when I finally got the car back,10 days after I came back(15 months for a swap?) Brian himself gave me the car back, the car now had a broken clockspring,THR said they had no idea how that happened, clue, when they replaced the K-frame they did'nt lock the steering wheel. This cost me an additional $245 by Ford. Also the car's left headlight did'nt work, had a decent antifreeze leak. One more thing I promise, the Mach1 wiring I was told to purchase before I left($400) was not used, but they tried to use it and when they gave it back to me half the wires were cut and missing. This is not a once and awhile story about THR,If I was'nt leaving in a few months to another duty assignment I would'v sued them.I have heard so many other people with similar shoddy work and buisness practice complaints about this shop...............................Kevin

+1

When you get major work done like that you should have it in writing. WE also need to heard THR side of the story. Every story has TWO sides. We learned that lesson with Lethal and the v6
