hey jody... the headers where the primaries slip into the collector... are you supposed to do anything to make them seal? i've never dealt with that style before, and my headers for my 302 are like that...

A lot of 4.6 designs are that way. Slip fit with pressure connections. Tight seals, no leaks, my last headers were that way too, but on the primary side for the driver only.

The connection is VERY tight.
Bassani says, you weld them, warranty is void.

Headers installed.....



Driver side... plenty of room still.


Passenger side, the starter takes up alot of the room here.


Front view... I managed to use the existing x pipe down tubes to keep it all the mandrel bends and just flared and welded then to the collector ends. It is very functional and still retains the ability to remove the trans if I need to.

Question

I saw these installed in person last week and they look great. Plenty of room with the K-member he has. My only question is header to starter clearance? That's not going to kill the solenoid is it??
