I have an update, but no pix at the moment..


Got a 70mm Accufab throttle body, aluminum Fidanza flywheel, and a set of VT stage 2 cams.... so I am gonna sell my Comp Cams stage 2 to some lucky person now.
Also got a 160* thermostat, the coolant mod "crack pipe" and I also clear coated the block and heads. Now it is chi-ney....

I need the Trick Flow intake or BBK when it comes out, Accufab plenum, sell my headers and buy Bassani with mufflers too, but I guess I'll keep the flows for now til I get them. Then install and tune.

Yeah, that's all I really lack for a direct drop in and go. But if I play my cards right and search at the right place and time, I may get stuff sooner. My plans are strict, but I can deviate at any time,as I have often done in the past wit this engine. If I can sell my cams and long tubes in a reasonable time frame, I can get more quicker. I am trolling the corral and depot often for deals. I just sold a bunch of stuff on ebay this weekend, so I have some bills to burn.

Hmmm, at redline, well.... possibly 6900 sounds realistic, but with a safe tune, I may get a tad over 7k rpm. We'll see. I just spent a few hours in the garage, installed the VT cams and now working on cutting off the stock scraper on the new Cobra pick up tube I bought.

I will take pix tomorrow and post up what I have gotten new and progress..

New updated parts for my build so far and more to come....

The 12# flywheel


The cooling mod 'crack pipe'


The 70mm Accufab T-body


9mm FRPP wires, blue in color


Stage 8 header bolts


I replaced my Cobra pump with MMR's oil pump and pick up tube


Now I just kind of put things on to see what it looks like 80% finished...







My 160* t-stat is on the way, so are the new 02 sensors and SFI balancer.

More to come as I get the parts in.

I also stripped off the old paint on the timing cover so I could paint it with automotive grade paint for durability, so it is primer gray with sealer and the valve covers will also be painted black with silver accents in the ribs of the cover as a detail.

Now I am trying to decide on the color of the oil pan...

My choices are red, silver and black. I was leaning toward black, but now I think silver will be a better choice. I may post a poll and ask opinions, but the contrast would be in favor of silver.

Here is also a view of the windage tray in place with modded pick up tube.
