well im still workin on it, i gapped the new plugs to big so i pulled em out to re gap them, and they were soaked in gas so i let the car sit overnight with out the plugs in, im about to put it all back together, fingers crossed

welll the plugs keep fouling out so i left them out while i cranked the motor and i saw gas spray out of all the spark plug holes on the passenger side, this is normal right?

If you set the points they should be set at .017 at the top of the cam.If you are setting it with a dwell meter it is from 28-32.!:jeff:

well now i have an electronic distributor, i think the problem was the power valve in the carb, however now when i crank the motor it backfires through the carb. what does this mean and how do i fix it.

got it running last night, strange though cuz i didnt do anything new, i just pulled out the dizzy put it tdc again, dropped in the dizzy, put in the plug and fired her up, i was amazed. but there is a down side when it fired up, somehow it was in reverse so it jumped back and hit my neighbors car SSSSHHHHH!
