My Convertible track time
I finally got to the track last week to try out the stang on Wednesday. Before I went to Lethal Performance, I never went to the track cause it just was not fun...
Last Wednesday I ran probably 10 times and had a pretty consistent run time of around 13.3-13.5 at around 111-114mph with horrible wheel slip through 1st and 2nd gear. My 60ft times were 2.2-2.3 at times. The one on left was my fastest run of the night. I had a better take off than any other time, but I missed going into 3rd...grrrr. I was not the winner on this ticket, but could have done a 12.9 or so if I had not missed. 13.12 @108.15mph I think if I could hook...and get off the line and react better...I know this would be a mid 12 second S197 Vert Not too bad and I had a great time too.Again thanks to Lethal Performance for helping me with my ride. I have a few more things planned for my Stang soon, and you will be getting my business. Jeremy

I know...freaky huh. I would think that too, but I am just using 8lbs of boost and these cars are so very heavy. I had 3/4 tank of gas too. But there was a lot of wheel slip...I just need to learn how to get my 60ft times down. I would have been a 12 sec with some traction and not on street tires.

The mph says high 11s,low 12s once you get
it to leave.Your mph basically is a function of horsepower(which you have plenty of) and et is a function of chassis effectiveness (which you need help on). Reaction time has nothing to do with your et so thats no help for your quest for 12s. You will get there,no doubt with some tires and suspension work. Good deal.

On with the show....

I think you could do high 12's even without DR's. Just gotta learn how to feather the clutch a bit thru 1st and 2nd. My best time in my '05 on just a tune and CAI was 13.34 @ 106. There was a lot of VHB sprayed on the track that night, though.

Ya those 60' times are what killed ya. I'd say mid 12s with traction!

nah
114-115 for high 12s with the trap speed he has now low 12s on tires .
spining acutaly helps the mph a bit on a heavy centri car as it keeps the blower rpm up through first gear ..
