I think you're trying to do exactly what my setup is today:
Mac LT's, high-flow cats, dual pipes al the way (no Y) back with gt take-off mufflers. Also, for complience with Austin-area emissions, I included rear O2 sensors past the cats. Also is a bung on passenger side for a wideband O2 sensor. All piping is 2.5", vs. the 2.25" pipe on the stock setup ahead of the Y. There is not any X or H pipe in my setup.

I got the driver-side tailpipe frm same person that I got the gt mufflers from.
You'll also need 2 muffler hangers for the driver side (all the hangers are the same, so the ones on the passneger side can bolt onto the driver side).

Here's a post in another forum with pics of my setup.

If your picture of the cats are what you intend to use, you don't want those with air tubes out the side! Just get plain cats...or re-use yours.
You dont need resonators unless you do away with the mufflers.

PM me if you need more info.

In the picture of your new cat, there's a little pipe sticking out the side. We don't use those in the '05s...those are for older vehicles using a separate air pump to shove air through the cats.
The stock cats are too thick-round I think, but there's plenty of other cats that aren't as thick/tall. Just use something w/o those side tubes.

BTW, will those downpipes fit? can't tell from the picture, but are they for 05+? To keep the pipes high enough, they'll have to run alongside the transmission and then behind it before crossing over. Based on the length of the cat, the pipes don't appear to be long enough...but I could be wrong...just asking.

Good luck, man...you WILL be happy with it when its all done with the headers!!!

the little pipe sticking out the side is a hanger or something for the cats. these cats are made specifically for mac longtubes. the down pipes are supposed to go into a mac prochamber but i dont have one. im hoping to get someone to fab something up for me. so you have straight pipes back to gt mufflers? how do they sound? compare it to this exhaust... Ok thats cool; it just looks like some cats that have air tubes stuck out the sides. Hard to tell by the real side of things, but I think that hanging the cats where the front stock hangers are, there isn't much room there for cats.
But if they are hanging somewhere else, then go for it. If these are all made for the 05, you should be good.

Running back to the mufflers on my setup are the stock over-axle pipes. I've seen a pic somewhere where a guy used inline resonators and jsut ran the pipes straight instead of over the axle; that would put the pipes really too low to the ground. Now if you ran them out the sides, that'd be different.

If you're trying to do all this for sound, you probably wont be too happy with the results, if you're trying to make it sound like a V8. If you're doing it doe perforomance, then go for it!
