Napoleon Dynamite fans

Alamo Drafthouse started in Austin and would always have cult-related fun stuff. Here in SA I haven't heard much about events (they've had them, just not as popular or frequent). This is at the drafhouse off 410 near Marbach (used to be Santikos Westlakes theatre).

Prom decorations in the theater
Dance Competition
Vote for Pedro t-shirts
Cafeteria style menu (yes, there will be tater tots!)
Free Chapstick to the first 25 people through the door

Prizes include free movies for a year at the Alamo Drafthouse, Alamo Drafthouse party pack, and Fiesta Texas tickets.

Step into the life of Napoleon Dynamite. An older brother who spends his days chatting with his online girlfriend, an uncle who is still living in 1982, a best friend from Mexico who is running for class president, and a llama are only a few of the oddball characters that you will meet along the way. What? When did they change the theater to a drafthouse? Boy, I'm as out of touch as an uncle living in 1982.

If you're not familiar with the Alamo Drafthouse stuff (originated in Austin), it's a theatre that serves food and beer during the movies - via a waiter/waitress. It's a pretty cool concept. Food is a decent price, beer is a little expensive.

They now run more first-run movies than the original austin location, but they are known for playing cult-type movies and having cool games (with prizes) during scheduled intermissions.

Yea, I know all about the drafthouse thing. I just didn't know they took over the Westlakes theater. Then again, the last time I was there was for Star Wars II.

I saw it again a couple months back at the Austin downtown location. Efren Ramirez (Pedro) was there and I touched him! There was dance competition before the movie and Efren actually baked a cake for the winner.
