So how are you tuning it? With the mph you are running it should go some high 11s once you get the car to hook again. Your 60' times with the 306 were very good.

The car is still street driven, with a best of 10.21 at 131 mph with a 1.51 60' spinning lightly. With this combo it made a best of 460 hp and 410 lbs of torque at the wheels.

Have you pulled the fuel rail and injectors yet and are you running a stock rail and lines? Possibly the plasic hose that goes between the rails, got hot and is creating a restriction. Another possibility is that a sensor was damaged in the fire and now fails once the engine gets to a certain temperature. All of the engine sensors should cause a problem on both banks and there possibly is a problem on both banks, but you are only seeing symtoms of a problem on one bank. On the other hand your engine would run better with a 650 and a performer rpm.

Thats what I did, you have too much comp and displacement for a stock intake no matter how much port work it has, your working against your self. I would also suggest a better set of heads, that where your performance is at. A good Vic Jr, 650-750 carb and a decent set of heads an she'll really run.

So are you still running O2 sensors? There are two different harnesses. They use the same wires, but the wires are different colors and located in different places in the plug for the O2 harness. You might try disconnecting the O2s and see if that makes a difference. If it does get the wiring diagrams for both harnesses and swap the wires in one of the plugs so they match up with the other harness. If you have spare TP, BAP, ECT or ACT sensors I would try those one by one. I would not think the ECT or ACT would have a high probability of being damaged but it is possible. The TP and the BAP would be the most likely to be damaged in a fire that did not do major damage. The BAP is the black plastic sensor located on the fire wall that has a three wire plug.

There is a relay under the MAF, that is the only thing I can think of other than the EVAP solinoid, but it is gold colored.

If you could get the car to New Braunfels I can fix it and my labor rates are much lower than Austin rates, I don't know what Taylor labor rates are but if you deside to stick with the EFI and want help give me a call. 1-830-625-4310. Good luck either way.

Dont worry about it, life has bigger priorities, Again I would recommend going carb'd, just make a plan and go with it, ie save for the intake, and look for deals on a used one. Just get it slowly and pretty soon you'll be rolling down the track again.
