My f'ing POS broke again

The bolt holdign the trans to the trans mount broke off. So my trans is just sitting on it with no means of stability. Because it bounces around in all directions it has blown both the Pinion seal, and the tail seal where the drive shaft meets the trans. I have trans fluid all over underneath my car.

So I need to buy new seals, possibly new trans mount, alll the fluids, etc

NOW, I am looking for someone with a little experience to hep me fix this. I will pay if you want but I want to help as I'd like to learn a little about mechanical stuff since my love for my mustang is killing me cuz it is falling apart (read please hold up til I can buy an 06 Cobra)

I can get it done for $236 at Midas if noone can help

Pretty simple stuff really Dan. I would be glad to help if you can get us access to a car lift. Would be alot easier than doing it in the garage. Although we could do that. I dont know when you were wanting to get it done. Let me know and if my sched is cooperative I would lend a hand :jeff:

Thanks Guys. I want to get this done ASAP, until then the car is parked. I dont want to chance too much not having any differential fluid or trans fluid.

Lets see if a MOD day pans out cuz that sounds fun but if it doesnt I'l check with you guys so we can all fit it in our schedule

Also if I am correct I need Royal Purple trans oil and Royal purple gear oil for the replacement of the pinion seal.

I think trans oil is the same for auto and 5 speed right?

Synchromax for the trans and and Max gaer for rear end or Max-Gear for both

According to the site it is max gear for both unless the trans requires ATF fluid

The oils are different for an auto or 5 speed. If yours is auto you have to use ATF trans fluid, if a 5 speed I recomend mobil1 synthetic gear lube. Anyways I'm available this Sunday.

Sunday is only time Danno work on SAT. So what time you wanta start and where at. Cell is 361-463-1125 Hm 404 9331

Also I know it is synthetic but brand is up to you Royal Purple Amsiol Mobil1 etc. Or even genuine FOMOCO. Auto would use ATF but your 5 spd.

What kinda tools do I need. I have a basic socket set thats about all. All my tools are in Michigan in my parents garage

I am thinking of doing it on Randolph cuz I can use the lifts, and they have all the tools available

In the T-5's it uses ATF. Your 5- speed is supposed to use ATF also, DO NOT PUT MANUAL GEAR LUBE IN YOUR TRANNY. :gil:

Thanks Hoss. I thought that was what it was so I will get the Royal Purple ATF Lube and the Gear lube for the rear end

I am supposed to go out of town for the weekend on business so I'll let you guys know about sunday soon
