Check and make sure that the positive and negative wires are on the correct side... If I remember correctly the ballasts don't like the reverse polarity.

Wink

I had a bad ballast when I got mine from stangmods. Both worked at first, then one went out. One worked and one didn't. I thought it was a fluke, so I switched the ballast and the other bulb blew too. So I sent it all back and they sent me another set because it was warrantied, it just took like another month, and they sent me the wrong temp back, but I just kept em' and they've worked fine ever since. All the ballasts I've seen allow the harness to only be plugged one way, so I don't see how polarity could be wrong. Not sure about all of them though. Don't think this helps much, but that's my experience, so I would check the ballast connections and make sure they're plugged correctly.

so then they work but they are dim?
if that is the case, 90% of the time it is a bad ground wire or your splice is loose. electrical is hard to diag wo seeing the car.
