need to move front wheels forward, motor back

my goal right now is to complete a motor swap on the cheap (i know, oxymoron). i don't want to spend the money on a nice MM k-member/a-arm setup that moves the front wheels forward 1.5", but is there another way to get similar results?
the motor will weigh 150lbs more than stock and like i said, initially i do not want to spend money on light-weight parts or expensive k-members and offset a-arms. suggestions? the car is a 00gt. i need to reclaim some sort of weight distribution, if not weight loss. the only thing i will commit to is to move the battery to the trunk, and the a/c is gone.

I got my Granatelli k-member, coilovers, and tubular a-arms for $550 from Granatelli directly. What motor are you going with that is 150 lbs more than stock??

Some off the aftermarket LCA bushings(MM or Steeda) will move the arms forward approx,3/4 of an inch.

No, that would be a terrible idea. The Ford V10 is an inefficient pig of a motor, and is much less modifiable than a 4.6 or 5.4. It would only be cool if you want to say, "I have a V10 too" to a Viper owner...who would then smoke you.

oh theres no doubt that the v10 isn't a great powerplant...but the idea of the swap is cool...just being that you don't see it done often.
