new wheels

Got my new 18x9 and 18x10 fr500 black chrome wheels today!! Anyone know if a 295/35/18 for the rear will have clearance issues with eibach pro kit or should I go with a 285?

Anything less than a 295 is gonna look too small and appear stretched out over the rim. You shouldn't have issues with clearance.

thanks... The black chrome is darker depending on the angle of light. When you stand the wheel up and look at it from top down like it would be mounted on the car it looks darker. I will post up some pics as soon as the tires come in.

graves is right - I've seen 295/35s on 18x10s w/pro kit and no issues what so ever... even when turning into an inkline bank.... congrats! the rims look good - I'm thinking about selling mine and going FR500 black chrome too - where did you get your wheel set from?

Yeah that is why I got 'em. I don't see many if any with this style and black chrome. I've been looking at wheels since I bought the car in december and couldn't make up my mind. I've been back and forth from these, to deep dish bullits, to razors etc... I've been trying to make sure that I get what looks good, but different at the same time. My plans for the car to go with some type of black stripe(s) so I tried to keep the future in mind too. I'm just waiting on the rear tires. They will be here tomorrow or monday! Thanks again for everyone's input.. I really needed the reassurance!

Just to give you a heads up 295/35/18 is to small of a tire meaning the 35 part too short its not going to look right, you need more height on the sn197's. You need atleast a total of 27" in height on the tire the 285/40/18 will give you this the 295/35/18 will give you only 26.1" that would be a 1" drop on your car I did this research a couple of months ago and was told to go with the 285/40/18. If you have an 05and up thats the height you will need. I have the 285/40/18 on mine and they look pretty good the only diff. from the 285 and 295 on a ten inch wheel is .4 inch. the tire fills in the wheel real nice and gives you 11.5 inches wide. LMK if you want too see what the 285's look like. I will be at Biffs tonight maybe you can see them there.

Yeah Discount told me I should go with the 285's so that's what I'm waiting on. Not to mention the tires I went with go from $216.00 to like $360.00 per tire on the 295's. Oh btw, they are goodyear eagle F1 supercar tires. I may try to swing by there if I get a chance this evening.

Yea they are more but trust me you won't be disappointed. I tried like hell to put the 295 on mine but like I said its only .4 inches different in width. I went wit the KDW2's Real nice tire.
