New wheels/blacked out tail panel

Finally finished my set of Mach 1 wheels, and I tracked down some vinyl for the tail panel. It's a temporary thing, I didn't want to paint over this blue and then decide I didn't like it...but I think I do. What do you guys think?

Hehehe...I wonder if people get confused? (It's been called a Mach 1 several times since I got the wheels)

The tail lights are painted, not tinted. I hate the window tint tail light look, it's always bubbled. As for the back up lights, the previous owner is the one who painted them, so I don't know why...maybe he backed up a lot?

I got the vinyl at Bonanza Signs and Graphics on Southwest Parkway in College Station. Ehhh...just saw you're in San Angelo, what we did is called around a few body shops, some will have vinyl (if they do ricer graphics or something) and they recommended Bonanza to us. Car audio stores also might have it.

Is that vinyl hard to apply? Since its so big? I put vinyl on my tail lights, head lights, and bumper inserts but all that was pre cut and smaller.

black outs look awsome, but depending where he lives... it may not be wise to drop the car at all (cough cough like Houston)... i'd do it, but i don't want to et busted by a state trooper for having illegal stuff on my car (in TX).

*she* lol, this isn't my daily and the way things are heading I'll probably settle in North Dallas / Denton.

I applied the vinyl in pieces, since there's so much flatness on the back...I did the outer edges first, where the badges are, then the inner curves, those were the hardest parts...then the strips above and below the license plate. You have to make sure the surface is perfectly clean, and pull the badges and plate before you apply so you get a solid look. Also be sure you have a very sharp razor blade/model knife to cut the excess.
