    next mod opinion

    cant really decide what to do next, i have a 98 v6 with CAI, dual exhaust, short shifter

    i'm thinking what i want to do is get 4.10 gears, either a chip or a tuner/programer, and have it cammed in the future. so i'm trying to decide on gears or a chip/tuner/programer first. what do yall think?


    ram air intake, custom made bumper ram
    air system, short throw shifter with UPR
    reaper pistol grip shift knob 3.73 gears
    with posi, wheels from 01 mustang,
    firehawk indy 500 RWL tires, 1 inch
    wheel spacers in back, bbk
    underdrive pulley kit, spoiler

    gears are your best bang for the buck option.....Id try to find an 8.8 out of a V8 car w/ gears already in it if you can, if you have further plans for the car such as boost, built motor

    would def. do gears and the 8.8. althought he 7.5 has been able to hold up to 350hp on drag radials.

    splitport swap FTW and you can even port your intakes and heads before you do the swap for less down time. Then I would get the gears and better tires.

    How much could you really net to the wheels from this swap? i still say gears since you could shave about .3-.5 off your 1/4 time if you can drive....but not everyone is a 1/4 driver

    bolt on swap untuned. id say tuned 30 at most, goin from 1 intake runner to 2 per cylinder is like going from a 2V to 4V

    Well single port v6's are rated at 140 hp and the split port's are 190 hp gives you a 50 hp more at the motor.

    i think go with the tuner and then the gears, cause you can modify more things with the tuner, like air fuel ratio, global spark, and things like that that will help you and then the gears, cuase you will need the tuner tuste your gears, for correct mph, and if you want some gears i have ones they are 3.73's with the t-lok to make spin both wheels at the same time, if interested just pm me and we can make something up.

    There you go. I would of got 3.73's cause it'll be harder to hook with the 410's but it still works either way. And you can get a FRPP rear girdle for the 8.8, great product I run one.
